Cumbria Family Law offer mediation in Carlisle

Cumbria Family Law now offer families the option of family mediation as one of a number of options available to them for resolving disputes concerning children or family arrangements.

Our mediation service is provided by Jan Fotheringham who is an accredited family mediator with over 14 years experiencing in helping families resolve children and financial disputes through mediation, as opposed to through the courts.

Mediation is usually a much quicker, flexible and cheaper option than court proceedings and allows families to reach their own decisions rather than having an outcome imposed on them by a Judge.

Jan is also qualified to consult directly with children within the mediation process. This can help ensure that their views are heard independently and that agreed arrangements are in accordance with what the children want.
